A welcome sight after a somewhat “ choppy ” crossing of the Étang de Thau; the real start of the Midi Canal. The Étang de Thau is an inland saltwater lake joining the Midi Canal from Agde to the port of Sète, there are several ports around the inland edge of the lake and most specialise in shellfish from the Étang.
